Not your usual propagandistic interpretation of a John Le Carré theme (the worst new example runs on amazon). This one is multi faceted and smart. You can see power at work. This is fiction but quite close to reality. Nothing much changed to this day.... Great actors and the story is growing from episode to episode. Could be a longer series and even more detailed though. Slow start but keep on watching....

Intense and keeps you guessing, a great adaptation. Requires a close watch/benefits from a second watch as you pull threads together in a potent and mature production, not simple eye candy. Period piece reflecting on the moral ambiguities on all sides.
