About this show

A new drama from Russell T Davies exploring the passions and pitfalls of 21st century gay life for Henry, Lance and their family and friends. Life for 46 year old Henry and his boyfriend Lance is comfortable and settled. But after a comically disastrous date night, Henry's old life shatters and his new life begins.

It starts out rough to watch, but the story is good and the characters really grow on you! While it's sister series Banana is probably good as a stand alone series in its own right, Cucumber really benefits from the expanded character development Banana brings to the table, so watch them together!
