The acting was really the only thing going for this show. The writing and screenplay were executed horribly. I have read Watchmen and can honestly say without a doubt, that this is not the direction it would have gone. It was just freaking strange and Dr. Manhattan was so far out of character, that you could tell these writers didn't understand who he really was. 2 stars for the actors involved, but the rest of this show once Manhattan got involved was bloody awful. This is not cannon imo

Written, shot and performed spectacularly. The original score accompanies it to perfection and the last episodes will blow you away with their depth and poignancy.

Read the original comic and follow it up by watching this gem of a HBO show. Simply outstanding from beginning to end.
