Sarah goes to Sydney under the pretense of visiting her sick aunt, while Jack keeps an eye on Rene. Now living in the city, Mrs. Bligh joins a charity group. On the anniversary of Lewis Bligh’s death, George reflects on the troubled relationship he had with his father. After accidentally attacking Sarah, Rene decides to undergo a risky brain surgery, but Sarah refuses to sign the consent form.

Rene goes under the knife, and Sarah worries that he might never wake up. Gino’s dreams are crushed when his grape vines die. On the morning of baby George’s christening, Regina tries to persuade James to return to Ash Park in the hopes of proving her loyalty to George.

George and Regina wed, despite the protestations of Elizabeth and Carolyn. Sarah makes arrangements for Rene to be buried according to Jewish customs, with the help of Roy and Doris. Douglas continues his pursuit of Elizabeth.

Tensions run high at Ash Park. Following an argument with Gino, Anna temporarily moves back home with her family. When James tries to talk to his brother-in-law, Gino reveals what he knows about the baby, setting off a chain of events with devastating consequences. Douglas gives Elizabeth an ultimatum.
101 Unforgettable (Alternate Ending)

This episode contains the ending originally planned for Season 2. When the show was canceled midseason, a new finale was made to wrap up the story lines. After the show’s unexpected renewal, the creators decided to pick up Season 3 following this cliffhanger. Regina lays her trap to win George’s affections, even as George resolves to leave Inverness. Confronted with the consequences of her past actions, Elizabeth makes a difficult change. René begins to realize all that Sarah has given up for him.

I like it but wary of the religion part. I wish you could charge per episode 50p on series 1 instead of series 3 so it would give me chance to find out if it's good or not. Cos I wasting money if I buy full series after buying some episodes. This is same for other series box sets. Cos u don't want to pay big amount out until u have got an idea of if it's your cup of tea

I was looking for something easy to watch, and, as I do, thought that I would watch the first episode to see what I thought. Since then I have binge watched the first two series and now purchased series 3 because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I love this series, the history, the drama, the family, and everything about it. The writing and the actors make it feel very real, as the stories could so easily be true, the writers either have experience or they are amazing researchers; I have well and truly had my eye opened about many things. Whilst there are serious themes within A Place to Call Home everything about it is captivating, amusing, heart rending and completely compulsive, this series will take your emotions on a roller coaster, I would recommend anyone to watch it. I has reminded me too, how little recognition the Australian TV / Film industry really get, forget Neighbours, Home and Away this is light years ahead.

Absolutely love a place to call home, it gets through the story lines quickly without having to wait for weeks to find out whats happened, the cast are superb, i wish it could go on forever.....
