1 Death In the Slow Lane
3/23/11
New DCI John Barnaby arrives in Midsomer and is bemused by the quaint villages and their quirky residents. But when a local DJ is crushed to death at a traditional girls’ boarding school, he soon discovers that murder and deception are never far away. As the death toll rises, could Barnaby’s first case also be his last?
2 Dark Secrets
3/30/11
The reclusive life of elderly eccentrics William and Mary Bingham comes under police scrutiny when a social services investigator is killed. Barnaby and Jones must unearth generations of family secrets and decipher astronomical charts to find the murderer.
3 Echoes of the Dead
4/20/11
When a young woman is dressed like a bride and drowned in a bath, it triggers a spate of ghoulish wedding-themed murders in Great Worthy. The case takes Barnaby and Jones to a donkey sanctuary, a pub run by an ex-copper and former brothel madam and a heritage steam railway. Could history be repeating itself?
4 The Oblong Murders
5/25/11
Jones goes undercover at the Oblong Foundation after one of the cult’s young female members disappears suddenly. But he and Barnaby soon start digging into an old case involving the death of a couple in a boat explosion. What really happened to the Lamberts – and does it have a link to the missing woman?
5 The Sleeper Under the Hill
9/21/11
Fingers point at local druids when a farmer is found horribly murdered at a sacred stone circle in Midsomer Mow. But Barnaby is convinced that basic human greed – rather than spiritualism – is the real motive for murder.
6 Night of the Stag
10/12/11
When a missing tax inspector turns up dead in a vat of cider, Barnaby and Jones must hunt for a ‘giant’ killer within a Midsomer village steeped in bizarre local traditions, where residents have a fondness for illicit hooch, known as The Beast.
7 A Sacred Trust
10/26/11
The cloistered world of Midsomer Priory is forced to open its doors to 21st century policing when a nun is strangled to death. Teenage liaisons, missing antique silver, African art and holy orders add up to make a complex investigation for Barnaby and Jones.
8 A Rare Bird
1/11/12
A row between keen birdwatchers in Midsomer-in-the-Marsh turns nasty when their president is killed. Patrick Morgan met his death while hoping to sight a rare bird, but is his obsession with ornithology to blame – or something more sinister?

About this show

Jez Gladberry is found murdered in the woods, with several bruises on his face from a metal claw, and a shot in the head from a silver bullet. A while later, a young woman is found killed, hanging from a gravestone, with a funeral wreath around her neck. Some time before the murders, a local photographer, Steve Skelton, won a competition with his own creation of The Wolf Hunter. Has the myth about The Wolf Hunter started just like a murderous reality, or does the killer want to put the blame on Steve who created The Wolf Hunter? It seems that a feeling of being lonely and being abandoned is what this case is all about.

One of my favorite television series, with Jane Wymark, John Nettles, Laura Howard, Barry Jackson & of course Daniel Casey, Jason Hughes and John Hopkins! Definitely miss the old cast, but I am really impressed with the new cast with Neil Dudgeon as the new DCI Barnaby and Fiona Dolman. I hope to continue to see new episodes of Midsomer Murders..!

Outstanding murder mystery series, every episode is interesting. However, it is very disappointing that season 20 hasn’t been released where other media shops (iTunes) have released this season for download.

An easy stroll through this 'who dunnit' while you watch impeccable acting by the lead actors and well known 'guest' actors, pretty English countryside scenes and smile at the peppering of light humour so that, after a few episodes, you feel as if you know them as well as you know your 'old friends' .... a big "Thumbs Up!"
