In her private life, she struggles to rebuild her relationship with her son, and as a lawyer with a criminal record, it's not easy to find a job. After Hans Peter's death, a guilt-ridden Mads can't forget the case. He looks up Hans Peter's financial adviser at the bank in order to find out why the bank declared him bankrupt. Meanwhile, Nicky has been told to keep this financial adviser under surveillance, and he sees the adviser give Mads some documents. Nicky tries to follow Mads, but the seasoned officer is on to him, and Nicky has to abandon his car. Mads chases Nicky on foot, but quickly loses sight of him. Mads returns to Nicky's abandoned car to search it, and Nicky attacks him from behind. The case becomes even more intriguing when Hans Peter's son, Frederik, tells Mads about a woman who has also suddenly been declared bankrupt by Nova Bank. 2017 Arrow Films

Mads and Alf follow the lead from Hans Peter's son Frederik and question a woman who has been treated just like Hans Peter by Nova Bank. This leads them to Bjarke Strand, the head of Nova's crisis department. They decide to put him under surveillance and find out that he has suspicious meetings with several major business people in Denmark. Susanne Birk Simonsen, the manager of Nova Bank, is worried about Bjarke Strand being questioned. Mr. Christensen promises to take care of it and in return, he asks for her help with Absalon Bank. 2017 Arrow Films

Mads and Alf have a hard time finding the connection between the sudden bankruptcy of businesses and how it could be in the interest of Nova Bank. Mads is plagued by guilt at night and is determined to clear Hans Peter's name. A breakthrough in the case comes when Alf notices that the trustee, Karin Nørgård, has assessed every bankrupt estate equally low. Karin was appointed by the biggest creditor, Nova Bank. While being questioned, she reveals that Bjarke Strand was the one giving the orders. When Mads and Alf turn up at Bjarke Strand's home, he attacks Mads and is clearly hiding something. Mads throws him in Vester Prison, after which Bjarke Strand breaks down and confesses that he's received orders from an unknown source in Nova Bank's management. He also says that Nova Bank receives information from the head of the fraud squad, and thus Nanna's connection to Mr. Christensen is revealed. 2017 Arrow Films

Nova Bank hasn't given up on purchasing Absalon Bank. Along with the English equity fund Henson, they make yet another offer – this time it's fifty percent higher than the last one. Amanda refuses to sell, but the board finds refusing such a generous offer difficult, and they only have three days to make a decision. Claudia thinks selling is the only option and suggests that they find a buyer who shares Absalon Bank's visions. That would mean that Simon and Amanda could keep a controlling interest and their hard work wouldn't be in vain. Amanda and Claudia invite the most progressive bank in Italy, Fiori, for a business dinner. Fiori has the perfect profile, and Amanda offers them a cooperation with Absalon Bank. 2017 Arrow Films

Mads and Alf are following up on an old case that involves Helge Larsen and Mr. Christensen, who ran an IT company called Tech-Vision together. The fraud squad had previously investigated the case, but a lack of evidence made it impossible to prosecute them. Now Mads and Alf have proof provided by Helge Larsen, and they can put Mr. Christensen behind bars for several offences. But Mads isn't satisfied. Due to a statute of limitations, Mr. Christensen will only get a year, and Mads can't accept that. Mr. Christensen has be put away forever. 2017 Arrow Films

Bank manager Simon and Nova Bank buy the progressive French bank Crédit Vert. Amanda isn't keen on Absalon's new strategy and with good reason. A faithful customer from Absalon Bank comes rushing into the bank and says that the bank has suddenly changed her status as a customer. Her account will be transferred to the crisis department within two weeks, its service charges will be trebled and the interest will go up by 14 percent. This will inevitably lead to bankruptcy. Amanda is shocked and confronts Simon. She finds out that one sixth of Absalon's customers will be transferred to Nova Bank's crisis department, and one out of every three businesses in the crisis department goes bankrupt within six months. Unfortunately, Simon trusts Mr. Christensen and the experts at Nova Bank implicitly. Claudia attempts to stop the transfer of Absalon Bank's customers by talking to the manager of Crédit Vert, Célestine Allard. If Crédit Vert refuses to sell due to the transfer of customers to the crisis department, the customers might be saved, but Nova Bank's offer is too great for Célestine Allard and Crédit Vert. 2017 Arrow Films

Claudia is working closely with Mads and Alf to bring down Mr. Christensen. She has gained Mr. Christensen's trust, and this gives her access to confidential documents and contracts, but Mr. Christensen works with the help of middlemen. Claudia sets up new companies in her own name because this is how Mr. Christensen avoids being involved in anything criminal. The fraud squad needs him to sign a something that can link him directly to the crimes he is committing, and so Claudia asks Mathias, a middleman, for a meeting with Mr. Christensen. Claudia then tries to get Mr. Christensen to sign a title deed to a new company, and he is about it sign it when he suddenly says that he knows nothing about this company. At this point, Claudia is sure that he is on to her. 2017 Arrow Films

Nicky breaks into the house while Kristina is asleep. He has to get hold of the confidential documents that Claudia delivered. Kristina wakes up and hears noises in the house. She finds a gun and tiptoes out of the bedroom to find a man rummaging through Mads's papers. She points the gun at him – Nicky is caught red-handed. He tries to convince Kristina to put the gun down, but she refuses. Nicky attacks her and she falls down, and then her water breaks. Nicky has to flee, but first he calls emergency services. 2017 Arrow Films

The Swede has driven back to the rest stop to look for his pills. Nicky is hiding nearby and sneaks over to the car and opens the door and Bimse falls lifeless out of the car. Nicky is in shock, but at the same time, the Swede opens fire at him. Nicky seeks cover behind the car, and when the Swede tries to load his pistol, Nicky sees his chance. He rushes towards him and tackles him to the ground and beats the Swede's face to a pulp. Nicky can't control his anger and shoots at close range ending the life of his mentor. Nicky realises that he has to go away for a while and goes home to pack. Lina wants to know what's going on, but Nicky is silent. Suddenly, there's someone at the door – the police are on to him. Nicky flees out the window leaving Lina and Milas behind. 2017 Arrow Films

When a dead body is found in the sea near a wind farm off the coast of Denmark, Mads, the police detective assigned to the investigation, refuses to believe that it is just an accident. The deeper he digs, the more suspicious he becomes of quickly expanding energy company Energen, and he is drawn into a morass of shady financial and legal dealings.
