Season 1 episodes (4)

1 Fire and Ice
3/10/19
Season-only
Winter in Yellowstone. Driving snow and temperatures 50 degrees below zero collide with spewing heat from subterranean forces, creating dramatic, otherworldly displays. Host Bill Pullman embarks on a journey over vast blankets of snow, through sparkling prisms of “diamond dust,” and across rivers warmed by geothermal springs. Marvel at the park’s wildlife and see how the area’s extreme conditions pose challenges even for animals that have evolved to survive its winters.
2 Return of the Predators
3/17/19
Season-only
A mother grizzly raises what could be her last pair of cubs. A desperate lone wolf searches for a new family to call his own. An elusive mountain lion waits for the cover of night to catch her prey. Years ago, stories of carnivores in Yellowstone were few and far between, but recently the predators have made a huge comeback. They play a critical role in keeping Yellowstone in balance, but what does it take to survive, protect your turf, and raise young, all while trying to stay at the top of the food chain?
3 Life on the Wing
3/24/19
Season-only
Yellowstone National Park is home to birds of every feather. Some have adapted to tolerate its cruel subzero winter months, while others come from distant horizons to make the most of its summer bounties. But regardless of the season, survival here is no easy feat in a land ruled by giants and governed by extremes. Follow Yellowstone’s winged creatures as they hunt over vast canyons, guard the wetlands, and help their young take their maiden voyages over one of the greatest wildernesses on Earth.
4 Down the River Wild
3/31/19
Season-only
The Yellowstone is the longest undammed river in the contiguous 48 states, flowing with a wildness that is both violent and vital to the creatures that are drawn to its banks. From Yellowstone Lake, North America’s largest high-elevation body of water, to the Missouri River, follow its nearly 700-mile journey over falls and through canyons into America’s heartland. See how Yellowstone’s bison, otters, coyotes, and thrill-seekers adapt to—and thrive in—these wild, untamed waters.

Amazing cinematography! The first three episodes are golden. The fourth episode follows the Yellowstone River downstream to where it finally meets the Missouri River. Humans are brought into the story in this last episode, as the Yellowstone River flows through Livingston and beyond, but the human story of Epic Yellowstone doesn't talk about how we are effecting the river, only how we are taming it.
