While Murray (Jeff Garlin) is being honored by his high school for his basketball prowess, Barry (Troy Gentile) takes advantage of his parents' absence to throw a blowout party at home.

In the second-season opener, Adam takes the next step in his blossoming relationship with Dana by creating a mix tape for her, but the tape falls into Beverly's hands instead. Elsewhere, Barry gets caught with a fake ID.

When Adam (Sean Giambrone) isn't cast as the lead in the school musical, Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) helps him star in a competing show. Murray (Jeff Garlin) stubbornly tries to avoid traffic, opening a rift between him and Barry (Troy Gentile).

Adam (Sean Giambrone) and Barry (Troy Gentile) are kicked out of their own garage band by Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and her best friend. A royal wedding inspires Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) to renew her vows with Murray (Jeff Garlin).

As Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) tries to be the cool mom to Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and her friends, Adam's (Sean Giambrone) computer skills are tested when he wants to join Barry's (Troy Gentile) posse.

When Pops accidentally starts a fire in his apartment during a Halloween party, he's evicted and Beverly invites him to move into the Goldbergs' home. Pops' wild lifestyle is soon too much for the family to handle and they decide to look into other options.

Beverly gets Mr. Meller fired for singling out Adam during dodgeball, but after some persuading from Adam and Murray she ends up fighting for him to be rehired. Meanwhile, Barry is unable to deal with the fact that Erica is better than him at a new board game called Trivial Pursuit.

As Erica (Hayley Orrantia) resists helping Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) prepare their traditional Thanksgiving dinner, Murray (Jeff Garlin) worries that he's losing Adam (Sean Giambrone) to his ne'er-do-well brother, Marvin (guest star Dan Fogler).

Adam (Sean Giambrone) gets caught in a web of lies at school when he tries to explain his broken arm. Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) worries she's losing her family to a new Chinese restaurant.

A modeling representative approaches Barry in the mall, which leads him to believe he's about to become famous, while Beverly threatens the rep to land her son a gig. Elsewhere, Adam tries to make peace between Murray and his grumpy Pop-Pop.

Beverly is ordered to clean out the garage by Murray, who wants everything gone except for one trunk that he's particularly sentimental about. Meanwhile, Adam and Barry discover Erica's old collection of New Kids on the Block memorabilia.

Beverly picks out Barry's date for the Sadie Hawkins dance, and her choice comes as a shock to everyone; at the same time, Adam loses his best friend after he and Pops get into a fight.

Barry must decide between love and football after discovering that Lainey's father does not root for the Eagles; at the same time, Beverly has a hard time dealing with the deep feelings Adam shows for Dana.

Murray takes Erica's car privileges away, which leads her to retaliate by going halfsies with Barry on a shabby used black van that they end up living in much to the despair of Beverly. Meanwhile, Adam doesn't take kindly to being voted "nicest guy" in the school yearbook.

Barry fakes being sick in order to have an epic adventure like the one in the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," except things don't go as planned and turn from bad to worse when Pops and Adam get involved.

Dana and Adam are given a doll to parent for a school project, but end up in jeopardy of failing because of Beverly's "grand-smothering." Meanwhile, Erica tries to get back at Barry for monopolizing her best friend's time by joining the JTP, however her plan doesn't go as expected.

Adam attends a Phillies game with his dad and ends up lost in the stadium after Murray allows him to leave his seat on his own. Elsewhere, Beverly's guilt trip backfires when Erica and Barry drive off without her during an argument on their way home from the mall.

Erica plans for her future after high school, deciding to pursue her dream of becoming a singer and putting college on hold, which leads her parents to worry. Meanwhile, an April Fools' Day joke leads to an all-out war between Adam and Barry.

Beverly plans a birthday sleepover for Adam, but things go awry when a friend brings his dad's home-brewed beer and gets everyone sick. Meanwhile, Murray promises Erica and Barry a new CD player on the condition that they write the greatest song ever.

Beverly arranges for Adam's teacher to tutor him in Spanish, a class she can't believe he's failing; at the same time, Barry gets a job delivering pizzas to impress Murray, but meanwhile, Erica is upset that her father hasn't acknowledged the fact that she has been working throughout her teen years.

Erica throws her support behind Walter Mondale in 1984's presidential election and tries to get Beverly to vote with her, but to no avail. Meanwhile, Barry is determined to get on an athletic game show to prove his prowess after losing a wrestling match.

Murray's joy over Adam wanting to play a sport is short-lived once he discovers that it's fencing, and worse yet, he was inspired by a scene from "The Princess Bride." Meanwhile, things don't go exactly as planned when Beverly tries to make a love connection between Barry's wrestling coach and Erica's voice teacher.

Adam, thinking Pop's good luck might rub off on him, takes a gamble and ends up losing his beloved toys. Meanwhile, Erica's dream of appearing on a popular TV dance show turns into a nightmare when Barry gives her pink eye.

Adam and Beverly decide that Erica should make a music video to go along with her application to Juilliard, but the finished product doesn't turn out as expected. Meanwhile, Murray builds a stronger friendship with Lainey's father.

In the Season 2 finale, Beverly and Murray prepare to say farewell to Erica for the summer after she's accepted to a 10-week arts program; and Barry takes the risky job of school mascot to be closer to Lainey.

In the Season 3 premiere, Erica and Barry help Lainey plan a big house party inspired by the movie "Risky Business" while her dad is out of town. However, it's Beverly who comes to the rescue when things get out of hand. Meanwhile, Murray grows annoyed with how much time Adam is spending on the phone with Dana, who he struggles to stay in touch with now that she has moved away.

Beverly springs into action to help Adam deal with the awkwardness of puberty, including his crackling singing voice, which she fears could lead to embarrassment after he lands the lead role in "A Chorus Line." Meanwhile, Murray inspires Erica to go to the Homecoming Dance with JTP member Geoff Schwartz.

Murray's attempt at bonding with Adam goes awry when the two end up fighting over the robot they are building; and Barry makes a huge mistake when he accidentally tapes over Beverly's beloved video of his 5th birthday party.

As Adam (Sean Giambrone) goes to great lengths to avoid swimming at school, jealousy prompts Barry (Troy Gentile) to undermine Erica's (Hayley Orrantia) effort to make the world a better place.

Murray's (Jeff Garlin) mustache ignites a feud between Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and his best friend, Bill (David Koechner). Barry (Troy Gentile) is convinced he's lost Lainey (AJ Michalka) to Boy George.

Adam chooses to spend Halloween night with Dana rather than Beverly, who decides to teach her son a lesson about the dangers of the holiday. And later, Adam regrets taking Barry and Erica's advice to visit a haunted house when he's expected to go back inside to find Dana's lost promise ring.

Barry's dream of having a dog comes true, but he's disappointed when the pup takes an immediate liking to Murray; at the same time, Beverly is upset not to be included when Erica and Lainey plan a girls-only sleepover.

Beverly insists on hosting a big family gathering for Thanksgiving, but tension builds when brother-in-law Marvin tricks Pop-Pop into thinking the Turkey Day celebration is elsewhere. Meanwhile, Barry and Erica turn the traditional holiday toast into a game of one-upmanship.

After Murray agrees to let him join ROTC, Barry asks Beverly to get him out of it. Adam objects when Pops buys a Florida timeshare. Guest starring Judd Hirsch.

Disappointed with her unenthusiastic family during the holidays, Beverly creates "Super Hanukkah" to get them into the spirit, but it's too similar to Christmas. Meanwhile, Adam is annoyed that Barry is more interested in hanging with Lainey than him, so he triple-dog dares his brother with results neither one see coming.

As Adam and Barry team up in a rap supergroup a la the Beastie Boys, Beverly presses Murray to let her remodel their kitchen.

As Beverly promises to bring Scott Baio to Jenkintown for Hands Across America, Adam ends up with two dates to the same dance.

Beverly forbids Adam to see the R-rated movie "Porky's," so Murray encourages his son to break the rules. But Adam's rule-breaking doesn't stop there. Meanwhile, Barry employees the music of Lionel Ritchie in an effort to impress Lainey on Valentine's Day.

As auditions for the game show Double Dare come between Adam and Emmy, Beverly looks to learn about football in order to impress Murray.

Dana comes to town, but has a hard time mustering up any enthusiasm for a "Weird Al" Yankovic concert Adam wants her to attend, which makes him think their relationship is coming to an end. Meanwhile, Erica and Barry take their newfound knowledge as peer counselors and apply it to Murray, who they diagnose as depressed.

Barry gets inspired by Olympic underdog Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards,
while Beverly decides that the latest furniture craze is the answer to slumping sales at
Murray's store.

Beverly helps Erica plan a school dance with a "Dirty Dancing" theme, but turns on her daughter once she realizes it may be inappropriate. Meanwhile, Murray and Adam try to become better dancers, without much luck.

Adam schemes to get as many cassette tapes as possible from a mail-order music
club, but when Beverly gets wind of this scam she points the blame at Erica. Meanwhile,
Barry is determined to get closer to Lainey's dad, Bill, even though it's an
uphill battle.

David Copperfield inspires Adam to become a magician, mostly because it seems
like a surefire way to impress a certain girl at school. Meanwhile, Barry faces a harsh
reality when he's the only one of his friends not preparing to take the
PSAT.

Adam rallies his nerd pals to fight back against Mellor's school yard pick system for gym. Mellor choices Adam as a Captain - and the power goes to Adam's head; he also picks the best athletes - even after Dave Kim chooses "Dungeons & Dragons" as the next team sport. Adam must train his doltish classmates to win at the game. Erica is surprised when Bev sparks to an out of state college tour; Murray turns the tables and forbids his daughter from leaving town; Erica then shares that she is not ready to leave the nest/town - at this time.

Barry spins after he over hears that Bev's favorite is Adam and Murray's favorite is Erica; Bev goes full tilt to try and make Barry feel special. Ultimately, Barry decides he doesn't want the Full-Bev attention - and Adam is begrudgingly missing his mom's intrusive attention. Erica is repulsed when she finds herself attracted to Johnny Atkins; their secret romance is soon exposed - which sends out shockwaves (mostly to heart-broken Geoff Schwartz).

Beverly and Lainey team up to destroy something they both despise: Barry's favorite shirt. But once It goes missing, Adam and Erica agree to help their brother investigate what exactly happened to it. Meanwhile, Murray decides to tear down the family tree house, which makes Adam upset.

Beverly is upset on Mother's Day when she receives an obviously last-minute gift of "mom coupons"

Adam and his soon-to-be freshman pals live in fear of the hazing they expect to get from the senior class, but then Adam body slams his way to earning their respect in the Season 3 finale. In other happenings, Erica and her friends decide what to put in a time capsule.
