I have read some of Neil Gaimans work here and there, and enjoyed it a very much. But i have not read the book of this. So i do not know how the TV show and the book compare to each other, or if the TV show is a good adaptation of the book or not. My friends that HAVE read this book dissagree with my following opinion and assessment. But a couple of other friends who have NOT read the book agree with what i am about to say, just about word for word. Visually, this is stunning in very many ways. (If you understand what you are seeing or not is another matter). But, there is no getting around it, i thought this show was so bad that i resented every good review i had heard or read, and every minute of this that i sat through. This, is, TERRIBLE. And i am being polite there. I am not joking when i say that i had been suffering from terrible insomnia for a long, long time. This show honestly cured that for a while. No joke! In (roughly) eight hours of TV, they only get around to the beginings of the plot in the final five minutes OR LESS. If season 2 does not pick up the pace then this story could take centuries to tell. It is not that i have a short attention span. This is just BAD.

Season 1 was amazing and I couldn't wait for season 2. It was a massive disappointment though. I felt cheated to be honest, the finale of season 2 was so lame and not what I was hoping for at all.
