1 One Ocean
1/20/18
In recent years, our knowledge of life beneath the waves has been transformed. Using cutting-edge technology, One Ocean takes us on a journey from the intense heat of the tropics to our planet's frozen poles to reveal new worlds and extraordinary never-before-seen animal behaviors.
2 The Deep
1/27/18
A ground-breaking journey to the Deep, our final frontier and home to real-life aliens, from monstrous sharks to shrimps in glass cages and perhaps the origin of all life on Earth.
3 Coral Reefs
2/3/18
Corals build themselves homes of limestone in the warm, clear, shallow seas of the tropics. Their reefs occupy less than one tenth of one percent of the ocean floor, yet they are home to a quarter of all known marine species. They are complex, infinitely varied structures providing all kinds of homes for their many residents.
4 Big Blue
2/10/18
The big blue is the world's greatest wilderness, far from shore and many kilometers deep. It's a vast marine desert where there is little to eat and nowhere to hide. Yet it's home to some of the biggest and most spectacular creatures on earth. This episode reveals what it takes to survive in this savage and forbidding world.
5 Green Seas
2/17/18
It's our green seas, not the blue, that bring life to our oceans. Here sunlight powers the growth of enchanted forests of kelp, mangroves and prairies of sea grass. They are the most abundant but fiercely competitive places in the ocean to live. The most bountiful kelp forests are found off the tip of southern Africa, where two great oceans collide.
6 Coasts
2/24/18
On the coast, two worlds collide. Coasts are the most dynamic and challenging habitats in the ocean - that brings great rewards but also great danger. The extraordinary animals that live here must find ingenious ways to cope with two very different worlds.
7 Our Blue Planet
3/3/18
Uncover the impact that our modern lives are having on our best-loved characters from this series, including albatross parents unwittingly feeding their chicks discarded plastic and mother dolphins potentially exposing their newborn calves to pollutants through their contaminated milk. Scientists have even discovered that increasing noise levels may stop baby clownfish finding their way home.

"Blue Planet II" is simply a very stunning sequel series to BBC's The Blue Planet. This series shows the viewer the human impact on marine life and how we can save them. Each episode consists of a colorful and diverse marine habitats and very interesting species of marine animals. The visuals are spectacular, and the cinematography is breathtaking. Each episode has consists of gorgeous scenery and rich colors that perfectly capture the marine animals in all their glory. The marine biology information is accurate and the production values are outstanding. David Attenborough is flawless as the narrator of this series with his usual richness, soft-spoken enthusiasm and sincerity. This documentary series does an excellent job in showing us that the Earth is an inspiring gift bestowed on human beings to appreciate nature, animals, plants, the oceans and the universe. There is no doubt that this documentary series is a masterpiece, and one of the best documentary series about the ocean that I have ever seen along with "The Blue Planet." Flawlessly done. A must have for anyone who is a fan of BBC's nature documentaries, who loves nature and animals and who wants to protect the oceans and the Earth.

The first Blue Planet was INCREDIBLE, I enjoyed it immensely. It reminded me of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom & Jacques Cousteau from when I was a kid. Of course, the photographic quality now and Smart TVs with High Def pictures bring this series to another level. The pictures are mesmerizing! I didn't want the first Blue Planet to end so I am thrilled to see Part II out. Once again, this trailer is Stunningly Beautiful just as the first. I can't wait to see the entire series. Amazing, stunningly beautiful photography & equally stunning subject matter. 5 STARS AGAIN !

An absolutely stunning documentary. Each story told with such a deft touch - each shot poetry. Not only is every plot beat of every incredible saga captured on film, it is captured with beauty - as though the animals were paid actors entering and exiting on cue & leaping and tussling through multiple takes. How. How? I am touched. Stirred. And the difficult story of human impact on marine life is treated with such grace. Our world is framed as a changing world - as it always has been; humans are neither villains nor saviors. We're part of the story. This is the best documentary about the natural world that has ever been made to my knowledge.
