About this show

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels ("The Office," "King of the Hill") and Michael Schur ("The Office," "Saturday Night Live") comes a new mockumentary that looks at the exciting world of local government. Parks and Recreation will examine the mundane but necessary ways that people interact with their government, and ask why it's frequently so complicated -- as everyone knows from standing in line at the DMV, applying for home construction permits, or trying to get the city to fix a pothole.

Like most shows I found Season 1 to be a little slow, plodding almost. As it reached the end of the first season, I had become hooked and proceeded to watch every season afterwards. After re-watching this show about 12 times I still find it to be funny, engaging and still one of my favorite shows ever made.

First six seasons are great. The show hits its stride in the second season but runs out of steam in season seven. I'd give it fours stars but I had to deduct a star because the show tries to humanizing establishment politicians.

Only got to episode 3 before I called it quits. Found it uninteresting and unfunny. Thought I'd give this a go since it's from the same producers of 'The Good Place' and 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' and I love those shows.
