Considering all the names attached in the opening credits including Joss Whedon and Jeph Loeb, this is so disappointing. Have seen a handful of episodes from the first season and it really feels like a waste of £3.99 because I'm just not looking forward to watching any more. It's hard to fathom how this is still going but the brilliant Agent Carter was canned after just 2 seasons (the second of which I've yet to see so that's something to look forward to!) If you're late to the party too, seriously, skip it and get AC instead, and heck, even Daredevil (despite the extreme violence). UPDATE: Yeah. It got slightly better near the end but at that point it was a case of "I paid for it, let's just get it over with." Dude, I can't even be bothered to *read wiki pages of what happens in future seasons. Bright side, there are some laughs to be had and there's Lola ~ easily the best character. And it reminded me why I stopped watching TV around 2010: Who needs the drama? And don't listen to other reviewers: You can still be a Marvel fan even if you don't like every single thing they do. I wish everyone involved all the best: It's just not for me x

But why the delay from time to time this season. Season finale has been available for free since last night but still not available if you bought it. If there's a season 4 maybe I'll just stream it for free. Down to three stars as a consequence, 'cause it's not the first time.

Has dramatic tension reminiscent of 24, sympathetic characters and pleasingly humorous fine guest appearances from a variety of familiar and unexpected performers. Kyle Maclachlan in particular in turn provokes moments of uneasiness and hilarity - a nicely balanced portrayal of an unbalanced character. I'd like to have seen more asked of Brad Dourif, but good to see him nonetheless. On the whole I'd say that the characters are increasingly relateable especially with their development as seasons progress, even when the most extraordinary circumstances apply - this is perhaps part of the genius of the creators of the series, that they assemble a superlative team to begin with, be they unknowns or the tried and tested. All, integrated with an overarching Marvel Universe whose complexity grows with each competing and synergistic installment from each of the Film and TV arms, skillful storytelling and a judiciously modest use of SFX, seemingly effortless action sequences, moments of profound pathos - and did I mention the humor? draws the viewer in and makes them want more.
