Marnie's best friend Helen from Scotland comes to visit her, and Marnie is terrified of the sexual thoughts that pop into her head when she is around. Encouraged by her new therapy, Marnie tries out trusting her old friend with her secrets, and is beyond pleased when Helen seems to understand her problem.

In the final episode, Marnie realises that she has pushed Shereen too far, and becomes paranoid that everyone has turned against her now that they are aware of her condition. Marnie becomes consumed by the idea that she is not getting better and begins to spiral.
