About this show

The Strain is a high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, the head of the CDC Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph and his team wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

As promised ive edited this review because episode three was released this morning, funnily enough its showing the date as the 8th of september when i know for a fact that it didnt get released to google play until the 12th of september. I loved the first season and the second season is shaping up very nicely. Its more than worth the asking price, assuming google can release the episodes on time. I highly recommend both seasons of the strain it would be five stars if i knew id be getting the episodes the day after broadcast.

It would have five stars from me but for the release delay! Every episode of season 3 ( paid for in full I might add) seems to be taking longer to come available. This tends to STRAIN my patients.

Good concept, decent budget, decent effects and really gripping at times. What let's it down is the mundane filler scenes and the shallow dull characters... Thomas Eichhorst being the exception.
