About this show

A half-hour comedy series about Ted and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall, drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily, a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest to find his future wife is Barney, a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin, he's sure it's love at first sight, but after a whirlwind romance with her, he realizes destiny has something else in store for him. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future.

One of the best shows that I have seen. Also the poorest effort to wrap up a spectacular show. The whole ending felt forced, like they knew the show was about to be canceled and they needed an easy way out. (Without giving too much of the ending away) If they had capitalized on the "final" love interest and made an entire final season out of that and then the eventual end then they could have wrapped it up far better than they did.

The first 4 or 5 seasons were enjoyable then it started to drag on a bit. The whole Barney and Robin thing was poorly thought out, Barney was at his best as a womaniser, and the tension between Ted and Robin was what made the show entertaining. I stopped watching it after this

Both heartwarming and hilarious at the same time. I have so many memories of this show, both good and bad. But never the less I feel as though I will remember these 5 amazing people for the rest of my life.
