While the search for the missing boys continues, the squad faces off with an untrustworthy priest, an angry ex-husband, and threats from the F.B.I. Rusty startles Flynn and Sharon with a surprising request.

While dealing with a difficult personal matter, Commander Sharon Raydor continues to investigate the disappearance of the St. Joseph's Three, their relationship with an overly protective priest and the possibility that two of the fifteen-year-old boys could be killers.

As the case of the St. Joseph's Three leads to its unexpected conclusion, Commander Sharon Raydor attempts to balance the case, her family arriving, and her fast approaching wedding to Lt. Andy Flynn.

When a well-known attorney (Nan McNamara), celebrated for her defense of oppressed women is found dead, there are no shortage of high-profile suspects, including her son (Fran Kranz), her ex-husband (Daniel Hugh Kelly), a film director (Lenny Jacobson) whose career she helped destroy and a former football player (Chris McKenna) whose sports bars/restaurant chain, Tackles, features scantily clad women. Meanwhile, Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) and Gus (Rene Rosado) confront issues in their relationship.

As the squad investigates the mysterious death of a second woman related to the Tackles case, and a new theory materializes, Sharon (Mary McDonnell) faces a health setback. Meanwhile, Gus (Rene Rosado) reacts unexpectedly to Rusty’s (Graham Patrick Martin) partial solution to their ongoing relationship problems.

While working two seemingly connected murders, the division suddenly uncovers a series of sexual assaults against servers from Tackles. As a new theory about the killer gathers steam, however, an unexpected twist throws Major Crimes off course and Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) off- balance.

Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) must make decisions related to her ongoing health problems while arriving at the solution of a series of murders and sexual assaults. Meanwhile, the detectives in Major Crimes face a crisis in leadership.

Before Major Crimes can fully cope with a leadership crisis, a surprise death in the law enforcement community seems to be the work of escaped serial killer, Phillip Stroh (Billy Burke). Ricky Raydor (Ryan Kennedy) helps the division with a difficult search for a Mr. (George Wyner) and Ms. Bechtal, and Emily Raydor (Zarah Mahler) offers Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) some sound advice.

Unable to locate Stroh in the present, the squad looks for answers in his distant past, hunting for the former Ms. Bechtal. Meanwhile, Provenza (G.W. Bailey) struggles with Chief Mason (Leonard Robertsbut I ju), and Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) grows frustrated with forced proximity to Gus (Rene Rosado).

In the penultimate episode of Major Crimes, Phillip Stroh (Billy Burke) and his young British accomplice (Will Attenborough), edge closer and closer to their end game, while Lt. Provenza (G.W. Bailey) continues to push Asst. Chief Leo Mason (Leonard Roberts) into pouring more resources into the case. Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) digs up an important clue.

In the series finale, Lt. Tao, (Michael Paul Chan) is stuck in a room with a potential bomb. Provenza (G.W. Bailey) finally identifies the real Ms. Bechtal, and Major Crimes comes face-to-face for the very last time with Phillip Stroh (Billy Burke).
