*Season 2 Update Below* As a hard core Trekkie I was very skeptical of this series when I first heard of it. However I decided to give it a go thinking at least it might have a few laughs like family guy. I was mistaken and this is a funny and loving tribute to the original Vision of Gene Rodenberry. There are episodes that will make you almost cry. Scary episodes and all with an almost Robert Downy jr's Tony Stark sense of humor to it. The cast plays very well off one another in a way I can only really describe as an SG-1 Dynamic. They respect one another and have fun making every episode. If Disney(Now the controlling interest in Fox) cancels this show they are morons as I am confident this show has the potential to go down as one of the greats in Sci Fi If you like Star Trek and StarGate, this show is right up your alley and I feel is well worth the price on digital or even disc. Season two Update Season two is far more focused on the characters Serving on the Orville and I feel, any flaws of the first season(Which I find few of) have been ironed out. I feel this show, may end up a Sci-Fi classic to share with your kids like TOS and TNG

I predict this will be one of the single most underrated shows on TV. I feel the writing will go over a lot of people's heads. Almost in every episode there are "Star Trek Like" hints to social issues. I hope I am wrong, but Star Trek didn't get noticed till it was too late. Also, in pretty much every single episode, there is a lesson to be learned, just like in Star Trek. Well worth your time.

It has comedy in it and Excellent Characters. You'll love LT Alara Kitan,, Cpt Ed Mercer, Cmdr Greyson, Dr Clair Finn. It is scifi like Star Trek and Star Wars and it has comedy in it and it is set further in the future than the original Star Trek series. Isaac is kind of like a robot from another planet and tries to understand things like pratical jokes and certain human phrases and always learning something new which he doesn't already have in his data bank. Yaphit is cool, he is a gel where he can just slide under a door or reach where the human engineers can't reach when needed. This show is Excellent I give it 5 stars out of 5 but would like to give 10.
