About this show

Everyone loves Fawlty Towers - except the poor, abused guests. Since that memorable evening in the mid 1970s when the hotel opened its doors to the public, it has become cult viewing in 61 countries worldwide. And despite being screened again and again, the programs haven't lost their appeal - Basil and Sybil's insults to each other, Manuel's plaintive "Que?", and "Don't mention the war" from The Germans have been absorbed into everyday speech.

Should be a 5 star show this, but like someone else has commented that the shows have been edited to take out (what they deem to be unfit for human ears),so I won't be buying any of these shows. I've watched all the original unedited shows, and there's nothing so bad in it to deem editing. This is a COMEDY show.

Thought I would warn those who are looking to buy this TV classic. The beep have now started chopping bits out of it to suit the PC brigade. I've compared the latest offering with my first Dvd release version and was shocked how much has been cut! A con.

I pay my TV licence therfore why do I have to pay for this again? I understand the cost of creating a disc version of the show needs to be paid for, but a digital copy? BBC RIP OFF
