After recent events, Barry decides it’s time to confront Zoom and comes up with a dangerous plan. Caitlin sides with Jay and deems it too dangerous for Barry to engage with the speed demon. 7 Gorilla Warfare

When Gorilla Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin, Barry and the team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star CIARA RENÉE) and Patty begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her.

8 Legends of Today

In its second major crossover event with Arrow, Vandal Savage (guest star CASPER CRUMP) arrives in Central City and sets his sights on Kendra Saunders. After Vandal attacks Kendra and Cisco, they turn to Barry for help. Realizing how dangerous Vandal is, Barry takes Kendra to Star City and asks Oliver and the team to hide her until he can figure out how to stop Vandal. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when a man with wings AKA Hawkman (guest star FALK HENTSCHEL) shows up and flies off with Kendra. Meanwhile, Harrison develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay to test it out.

9 Legends of Yesterday

In Part Two of the epic crossover event with The Flash, Oliver and Barry Allen (guest star GRANT GUSTIN) take Kendra Saunders (guest star CIARA RENÉE) and Carter Hall (guest star FALK HENSTCHEL) to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage (guest star CASPER CRUMP) while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm arranges a meeting between Vandal, the Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity, Thea, Diggle and Laurel work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.

10 Running to Stand Still

Now that they’ve grown closer, Barry considers telling Patty that he is The Flash. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris try to get to know Wally; and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself.

12 The Reverse-Flash Returns

When Cisco gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star MATTHEW LETSCHER), Barry and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star AMANDA PAYS) confirms that the Reverse-Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris and Francine share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally.

13 Fast Lane

2/2/16

Barry teams up with Wells to figure out a way to close the breaches, but they are distracted by a meta-human nicknamed Tar Pit (guest star MARCO GRAZZINI) who can transform into liquid asphalt. Iris is concerned for Wally’s safety after she finds out about his drag racing hobby. When he refuses to stop, she makes a bold move that puts her in danger.

14 Welcome to Earth-2

Barry, Wells and Cisco journey to Earth-2 to rescue Wells’ daughter, Jesse (guest star VIOLETT BEANE) from Zoom. Although Barry’s stunned when he runs into Earth-2’s Iris and Joe, nothing prepares him for meeting Killer Frost (DANIELLE PANABAKER) and Deathstorm (recurring guest star ROBBIE AMELL). Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jay has to take over the Flash’s responsibilities when a meta-human nicknamed Geomancer (guest star ADAM STAFFORD) attacks Central City.

15 Escape from Earth-2

In the exciting conclusion to their Earth-2 journey, the team races to find Zoom’s lair by asking for help from the most unexpected source on Earth-2. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay can stop Geomancer.

When King Shark escapes from an A.R.G.U.S. holding tank, Lila Michaels (guest star AUDREY MARIE ANDERSON) and John Diggle (guest star DAVID RAMSEY) travel to Central City to warn The Flash, but unfortunately King Shark shows up at the West house and attacks Joe, Iris, Wally and Barry.

17 Trajectory

Deciding to blow off some steam, Barry and the team head out for a night on the town only to encounter an unexpected speedster who is up to no good. Iris is challenged by an assignment from her new boss (guest star TONE BELL), and is surprised when friction turns to flirtation.

18 Flash Back

3/29/16

After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster. However, things don’t go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway (guest star ANDY MIENTUS), as well as old friend Eddie Thawne (former series star RICK COSNETT). Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future.

19 Versus Zoom

4/19/16

Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom (guest star TEDDY SEARS) and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry strongly advises against that plan but after Barry convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zolomon’s (TEDDY SEARS) painful story on Earth-2 is revealed.

20 Back to Normal

4/26/16

A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey (guest star HAIG SUTHERLAND) mistakes Harry for Earth-1’s Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition. Realizing that another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin’s location, Barry asks Jesse to help. Meanwhile, Wally corners Joe about The Flash.

21 Rupture

5/3/16

Zoom arrives back on Earth-1 intent on taking over Central City. Barry and Wells come up with a plan to stop Zoom once and for all but it’s extremely dangerous. Unsure if he should take the risk, Barry reaches out to both fathers for advice. Henry is adamantly opposed to Barry risking his life again but Joe thinks he can handle it – which puts the two men at odds with each other. Meanwhile, Cisco is shocked when he vibes the Earth-2 villain Rupture, who happens to be his brother Dante’s (guest star NICHOLAS GONZALEZ) doppelganger. Rupture came to this Earth seeking justice for Reverb’s death. Iris decides she’s finally ready to open up to Barry about her feelings for him.

22 The Runaway Dinosaur

With Barry gone, the team must figure out a way to handle the return of an old enemy – Girder (guest star GREG FINLEY). Realizing Girder is retracing his steps from his last attack, Iris volunteers to act as bait to trap him in S.T.A.R. Labs. Meanwhile, Barry fights to return to his old life. Kevin Smith directs.

After Zoom unleashes an army of Earth-2 meta-humans on Central City, Barry is shaken when he sees their leader is the Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, the Black Siren (guest star KATIE CASSIDY). I am beginning to think the word 'cringey' was created after watching the finale for season 7 of the flash. Now, just to clarify, I adored the first few seasons, especially 1 and 2. However, every single aspect of the show has decreased in quality throughout the last few years, and the final straw for me writing this review was Season 7. Although the first few episodes aren't awful, the season as a whole is complete and utter garbage. I would rather fling myself off a building than watch it again. And no, I'm not being dramatic. My main problem with the last few seasons is the lack of enthusiasm from all involved. The writers (for both dialogue and story) have slaughtered this show, with lines such as: "The only thing I'll feel is my fist on your jaw". The Flash suit has clearly gotten cheaper and the actors no longer care about their characters. And I don't blame them. Speaking of characters, (spoilers for Season 7) another issue with The Flash is the onslaught of unnecessary people the show now has. They've brought back Nora and added Bart, for some reason, Cecile is more of a main character than Barry is and the show refuses to lay The Reverse Flash to rest. I could go on and on about this show but, for your sake, I won't. And just to make it clear, I have nothing against the director, writers, actors, or anyone who helped produce/make this show.

In my opinion, the first three seasons are the highlight of the show, and probably the best the show has ever been. Season 4 is ok, season 5 is 50/50. Season 6 was good in the first half, but then kinda died down in the 2nd half, then season 7 is utter garbage. The writing, CGI, cringe/bad story, and the amount of episodes which "The Flash" wasn't even the main focus of. As well as the excessive amounts of side plots. Season 8 does a complete 180 though, and is surprisingly really good so far.

Great show, only reason I gave it 4/5 was that seasons 2 and 3 were a little repetitive, season 3 in my opinion was too dark for this show. I know that on Arrow that is kind of their thing, being dark, but the Flash was always had a little bit of humor in his character. I am very glad they finally decided to bring in a character that is not a speedster for season 4. So far I would have to say season 1 is my favorite but season 4 is shaping up nicely, it will be interesting to see how Barry manages to get out of jail.
