About this show

Tom Selleck won an Emmy for his portrayal of Thomas Magnum, a charming private detective who lives in Hawaii on the estate of an absentee millionaire, in Magnum, P.I. Though a bit of a rascal, Magnum investigates his cases with skill, deftly moving about an island that is luxurious, exotic, and sometimes dangerous. Successfully blending doses of action, mystery, irreverent comedy, and poignant drama, this series became one of the biggest hits in television history and afforded Selleck and his characterization iconic status.

The video quality of the streaming shows the colors and vividness of Hawaii like it was meant to be. Throw away those cloudy DVDs from the 90s. This show is great. My favorite TV show ever. I notice that this first season was really feeling things out and trying different settings and methods. The estate was not used as much though it was used. Each episode is very different with a different look. Season 2 starts to show more of a pattern and rhythm.

I love the show but just purchased an episode for the first time using Google play. I purchased season 5 episode 2, which is the 2nd half of a 2 part show. When I hit play, the show that is playing is actually season 5 episode 5! On top of that, the closed captioning is showing the dialog for the one I wanted - season 5 episode 2! So frustrating!!

Beautiful scenery I enjoy seeing all the trees and plants an the hills in Hawaii. I like Magnums friends and how they seem to be getting into trouble a lot. Just great entertainment. I like Magnums honesty devotion to the truth. He's the type of man that will always be looked up to. I could go on and on but for now I'm through.
