Deux jeunes homme, charmants, riches et célibataires, se présentene dans le comté de Hertfordshire, où Monsieur et Madame Bennet vivent avec leurs filles. Ils se rencontrent au bal donné à Meryton. Mr Bingley se sent rapidement attiré par Jane, tandis que Mr Darcy et Elizabeth sont trop prétentieux pour se méler à la fête et s'amuser. Pendant ce temps, Lydia et Kitty Bennet flirtent avec les officiers de l'armée cantonnées à Meryton. Une nouvelle recrue, Geprge Wickha avec son charme, sa belle apparence et son comportement de gentleman séduit beaucoup, surtout Lizzie.

Noël approche, toute la famille Bingley a quitté Netherfield pour Londres et n'a pas l'intention d'y revenir. Le frère et la belle soeur de Madame Bennet arrivent de Londres et se rendent avec la famille à une fête de Noël chez le colonel Philips. Wickham est présent et Elizabeth se sent de plus en plus attirée par lui. Jane n'a pas oublié Monsieur Bingley, mais elle tente tant bien que mal de ne pas le montrer. Jane et Elizabeth sont invitées à Londres. Jane prend alors contact avec Miss Bingley. Cette dernière lui annonce que Monsieur Bingley est absent et lui fait clairement comprendre de ne pas compter sur son amitié.

3 Orgueil et Préjugés - Enfance volée

L'été arrive. La famille Bingley, Monsieur Darcy et sa soeur sont à Pemberley, la demeure de Monsieur Darcy. Ils rendent visite à Elizabeth, installée tout près dans une auberge de Lambton. Le jour suivant, Elizabeth reçoit de Jane deux lettres porteuses de nouvelles alarmantes. Lydia, l inconsciente, s'est enfuie avec Wickham et il n'est pas du tout certain qu'il ait l'intention de l'épouser. Madame Bennet ne fait que de pleurer et de s'apitoyer sur son sort. Kitty arbore une attitude de défi qui laissez à penser qu'elle au courant des projets de sa soeur. Monsieur Bennet est à Londres à la recherche des fuyards. Seule Jane est calme. Les deux ainées craignent le pire et sont bien conscientes que ce scandale rejaillit sur elles. Monsieur Bennet revient enfin de Londres, sans nouvelles de Lydia. A l'insu de tous, Monsieur Darcy s'est aussi lancé à la poursuite du couple. IL finit par les retrouver dans une sordide auberge de Londres.

Il est accompagné de son orgueilleux ami Monsieur Darcy et de sa sœur. Binglet s'éprend alors de Jane Bennett. Elizabeth Bennet suit avec attention l’évolution des sentiments de sa sœur préférée, tandis que Darcy est bien plus prudent. Survient alors l’officier Wickham, un militaire séduisant qui ne laisse pas Elizabeth indifférent. Ainsi que ses autres sœurs...

The Best Ever Version and adaptation made! 1995 - Beautifully and perfectly done. Magnificent actors with their very high level of excellence in portraying all their roles individually and collaborating as group performance overall is superb! The soundtrack and costumes were masterly and magnificently done which bring us to the regency era enormously and undeniably the best and great experience and feelings while watching this masterpiece interpretation of the great Ms. Jane Austen literary masterpiece of all time. From the adaptation, interpretation and execution of the story, the gathering of the great ensemble of high-calibre acting casts, the excellent script, the beautiful and proper locations, well-designed, quality and adequate costumes, great and perfect music, and over-all direction was really of high artistic level of excellence and perfection. Hats off to all the production team, casting director, location manager, costume designers, musical director and of course to the director Mr. Simon Langton for getting and extracting out the best and excellent acting talents and performances from its actors and actresses especially, delivering perfect dialogues, facial expressions, reactions, voice expressions, etc. in every scene, its production staff, team and collaborators in bringing us the best ever, very memorable, outstanding quality and perfect costumed romantic drama and love story of all time but more importantly, the magnificent and un-equalled adaptation, interpretation and mesmerising execution of the Pride and Prejudice novel from our beloved Ms. Jane Austen. Congratulations and we all salute you to the highest regard for making and collaborating to bring to life the perfect version made to this ICONIC and unforgettable story-telling experience to our lives! Thank you for this lovely, greatest but most valuable piece of cinematic and acting art. Loving it so much and watching repeatedly the whole series almost every day! Well done to all and hope to find similar story in the near future! Magnificent and Superb Adaptation!! Thank You so much!! Keep up the Outstanding and Exceptional Job and you all deserved to be recognised as one of the best cinematic, artistic and acting geniuses in all movie-film- TV mini-series story-telling of all time!
