Season 2 episodes (6)

1 Field Trip
4/21/10
The famous, or rather infamous geography field trip to Swanage is coming up, and all the boys are on board. Added to which, a new girl has joined the school, to whom Will has taken a particular shine. The only problem with this is that she has eyes for Simon. Jay meanwhile, is on the lookout for a legendary Swanage resident reported to satisfy the needs of male field trippers, and Neil is desperately trying to deflect the advances of an over friendly teacher, Mr Kennedy.
2 Work Experience
4/28/10
The boys are forced into that bastion of school ordeals, work experience. Following a mix up in the placement allocations Will finds himself working at a garage, where his attempts to engage in the workplace banter land him in hot soup with Charlotte at an under eighteen's disco.
3 Will's Birthday
5/5/10
It is Will's birthday, and he is planning a suitably grown up dinner, with a few close friends, and any girls they can persuade to come. Unfortunately, Will's party clashes with a far more popular one, which inevitably spells disaster. They end up breaking into the rival party, only to watch Simon's French 'greasy' exchange student Patrice prove that even he is more popular than them.
4 A Night Out in London
5/12/10
When the boys discover that Carli and her friend Rachel are heading up to a club for the evening, they decide to don the glad rags and take a road trip in Simon's car to London, with the prospect of a dancefloor fling firmly etched into their minds.
5 Duke of Edinburgh
5/19/10
Will is asked to co-ordinate the school's Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, and immediately uses it as an opportunity to try and snare an older university student, by helping her out at the local retirement home. Inevitably his plans require the assistance of all the boys, who enjoy remarkably different experiences with the elderly people.
6 End of Term
5/26/10
Exams are looming, and Will is much more concerned about this than others. Jay has got other things on his mind -- incredibly, a girlfriend. Simon also seems to be finally making headway with Carli, whom he is helping with her revision at the expense of his own. In the end the boys learn some valuable lessons -- Jay needs to be less sensitive (yes, less sensitive), Simon needs to forget about Carli, and Will needs to drink a lot less energy drinks in short spaces of time.

About this show

The exploits of four friends, who are socially only marginally above what one of them calls "the freaks", are presented as they grow from their late teen years into adults and as they go on their quest, usually unsuccessfully, for such grown up things as beer and sex. Simon Cooper, Jay Cartwright and Neil Sutherland have been friends for some time. Insecure Simon's main quest in life is to get long time friend, Carli D'Amato, to be his girlfriend. Jay is the big talker whose stories, especially about his sexual conquests, are more fantasy than reality. And slightly dim-witted Neil is generally two steps behind everyone else in comprehension of life, and who is always defending his father from beliefs that he's a closet homosexual. Into the group comes its fourth member, Will McKenzie, who met them when he transferred into their school, Rudge Park Comprehensive, at the start of sixth form, as Will's newly divorced mum could no longer afford his private school tuition. Nerdish and straight-laced Will, ridiculed for carrying a briefcase, insinuated himself in the group - not aiming his sights too high - as he tried not to be labeled as one of the freaks. Regardless, he is still the target of the school's "psycho bully", Mark Donovan, and the head of Rudge Park's sixth form, Mr. Gilbert. Will's initial saving grace in bonding with his new mates may have been that they all want to shag his pretty but protective mother, Polly.
