About this show

Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and our dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

Fear the Walking Dead is brilliant. I'm a big fan of the Walking Dead too. What many TWD fans don't realise is that you don't have to choose between the two and waste time with comparisons, but instead, rejoice that we get more of TWD universe to enjoy with fascinating characters played truthfully by brilliant actors within a gripping storyline. It's also great to see how the zombie apocalypse began and progressed through the lens of normal people's lives and the subsequent transformation that happens to each of them in order to survive. If you're a TWD fan, you'll love this show, but only if you drop the BS and just enjoy a new story with new characters in the same universe.

I'm going against the grain but this was a big disappointment. If you're a fan of the Walking Dead this does not live up to the standard set. Cliché characters galore, irrational scripts, unlikable characters, on and on I could go. It's a soap opera with a hint of Zombie.

It is fairly good, I enjoyed the story line . It is not in the same league as The Walking Dead with only one season viewed (by me), but there are Zombies and it is worth watching. Looking forward for the next season to be released in (the digitally retarded) Australia.
