1 Episode 1
5/21/12
A woman is found murdered in the middle of Øresund Bridge – right on the border between Sweden and Denmark. Saga Norén from Malmö CID and Martin Rohde from the Copenhagen police department are called to the scene. What at first looks like one murder, turns out to be two. The bodies have been brutally cut off at the waist and joined together – the torso of a high-profile Swedish politician and the lower body of a Danish prostitute.
2 Episode 2
5/21/12
The murderer makes his presence known and chooses the sharp-witted tabloid journalist Daniel Ferbé to act as a middle man in his communication with the outside world. It turns out that the murder on the bridge was only the beginning, and that the purpose of that heinous act was to draw attention to the unpleasant truths and problems in our society that we have chosen to turn a blind eye to, the first one being that “we are not all equal before the law”. Saga and Martin now realise they are dealing with a ruthless killer who has been planning his crimes for many years. At the same time, Martin faces problems at home where he is in constant conflict with his son August who has just moved home.
3 Episode 3
5/21/12
In Copenhagen, several homeless people have been poisoned to death. The perpetrator wants to draw attention to the problem of the increased number of people falling through the cracks of society. A homeless man is kidnapped and the only thing that can stop the murderer from killing him is a large sum of money from four landlords. So what is the price of a human being after all?
4 Episode 4
5/21/12
The homeless man's survival becomes a race against time, and depends completely on the four landlords' willingness to pay what the murderer demands. Saga and Martin have understood that they're dealing with someone who has really thought through his crimes, planning them down to the smallest detail. Maybe they can catch the murderer off balance by doing something he doesn't expect?
5 Episode 5
5/21/12
The murderer has groomed a number of seriously schizophrenic people over a long period of time, convincing them to commit carefully synchronised violent crimes in Malmö and Copenhagen on the same day. With the third truth, the murderer wants to highlight the cutbacks within mental health care, which has been reduced to “a pat on the back and a jar of pills”. Saga and Martin manage to find a break in the case, a teenage girl who has run away from home. Could she be the witness that ultimately leads them to the murderer?
6 Episode 6
5/21/12
Copenhagen is up in arms following a court case in which a group of police officers that beat an immigrant to death are found innocent. One of the accused officers is kidnapped from his home and is found by the dead immigrant’s brother chained up in his basement. Will he forgive or take revenge on his brother’s killer? Here the murderer wants to draw attention to the fourth truth, namely the failure of the state’s integration policy. For the first time Saga and the killer are in contact with each other.
7 Episode 7
5/21/12
The murderer’s fifth and final truth is the public’s indifference to child labour, with millions of children being exploited daily in order to produce goods as cheaply as possible. Since they’re not our own children, we don’t care, but when a school bus full of children disappears, all of a sudden we sit up and take notice. To save the children, the murderer demands that five large companies that benefit indirectly from child labour should be set on fire by the general public. Saga increasingly suspects that the perpetrator is one of their own – a police officer!
8 Episode 8
5/21/12
After many suspicions and one witness statement, Saga and Martin arrest and question a fellow officer. He turns out to have an alibi for all the crimes, but is he really innocent? The murderer is done now, having succeeded in doing what he set out to do - to open our eyes to the problems of our society. Saga, however, doesn’t believe that this is the end of his plan – that there is more to come.
9 Episode 9
5/21/12
Gradually all the pieces to the complicated puzzle are put in place – the clues and evidence in the investigation have led the police to a man who could be the murderer. Now they wait tensely for his next move, which for Martin, who has finally managed to become reconciled with his son August, will turn out to be more personal than he ever could have imagined.
10 Episode 10
5/21/12
The murderer has shot Saga in Martin’s garden, and kidnapped August. It now dawns on the police that the final step in his evil plan is directed at Martin, who desperately joins the hunt in order to save his son. Despite her gunshot wound, Saga does all she can to crack the case and catch the killer - will she succeed before it’s too late?

About this show

The story starts with when a famous Danish gender activist and owner of Copenhagen's first gender-neutral children's nursery is found murdered on a building site in Malmö. Saga is forced to work with a new Danish colleague, who has difficulties in accepting Saga for who she is. They quickly come to the conclusion that the murderer has been very particular about the aesthetics and wanted them to find the body. This marks the beginning of a line of spectacular murders that eventually become personal for Saga and her career looks to be at risk and the questions is raised, can she actually continue working on this case?

The series (series 3) is excellent. After two series with the same two lead characters I wasn't expecting to like this series as much, but it is gripping. Google is the reason it only gets one star. Although the series finished its airing on BBC Four on 19th December, Google is still withholding the final episode (episode 10) for some reason. Its like buying a tense thriller only to find the final chapter has been ripped out.

I came across this series by accident one day while browsing my TV listings for anything good to watch. Well, simply must the very best accident I've ever had.The quality of drama/comedy mixed is pure genius, especially the way Sofia carries herself in this role, its flawless. !! Its almost a crime making us wait a week for the next episode, but I pulled through !! For the second series I did not make the same mistake,Once it was announced when series 2 was airing,I just set my box to record all episodes. Then after watched them all over 2 days,it was just as good as the first. I now have all series 3 recorded now but as yet not watched yet. If your unfortunate enough not to have seen this amazing cop drama, where all 12 episodes are the same story as it progresses, you would be foolish not to see this,on of my all time favourites.

The main character has aspergers, and to see the story bob and weave, and the action unfold is brilliant, with the little influences of autism always visible in her mannerisms. I actually felt bereft when I came to the end, wanting to know how she worked through what was happening.
