"Batwoman" had enough lovable elements to compel me to give it 5 stars. This doesn't mean that it didn't have its weak points. For example, in the 60s series of Batman (with Adam West and Burt Ward), Batgirl was the commissioner's daughter. Who, exactly, are the Crows? Hard to believe that the primary law enforcement agency in Gotham is a private company. Other believability issues are the whole multiverse subplot - as if the social context for the plot was not complex enough; and there is even the intern, who inexplicably relinquishes her promising career as a dedicated medical professional, in order to follow Batwoman's rising star. Ugh. The details cried out for help. And yet, Ruby Rose's imperfect Batwoman character struck a quite dissonant-but-jazzy set of chords. I loved the way Kate walked; so cocky and unassuming. Her diabolical sister, Alice, was not quite Heath Ledger's Joker, but there were some very serious cathexes involved throughout the series, so I must give that character an 'outstanding' in terms of portrayal. Nonetheless, there must be an influx of additional bad guys to sustain this series. Will season 2 (if there is one) perhaps include an array of characters worthy of a superhero, instead of only the superhero's sister?

Poorly written soapopera with headache inducing fight scenes interspersed with all the bland acting+bed hopping. An insult to the DC characters used, an insult to all women, men, sexualities, ethnicities and agendas. Hell, BWs introduced in the crossover by immediately punching the 1st one to speak to her-so angry, no honour. Stick to Flash +Arrow for the characters, cb heroes, secrets/ drama, try overcrowded Legends of Tom for feelings+bed hopping. Spitting up 22 ep seasons ruins

The 1st season was great. It was leading into something good. But then Ruby Rose left. Unfortunate, but I could accept assuming they were gonna just simply recast Kate Kane and pick up where they left off. But instead they create this whole new never existed character and try to pass her off as a Kate knockoff and go into his whole mess of complicated and unnecessary new plot lines and it’s ridiculous. This was supposed to be about Kate Kane and her journey and character to greatness. This is the worst and it’s not getting any better.
