About this show

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, starring standup comedian and Emmy-Award winner, Ray Romano, revolves around Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter living on Long Island, New York with his wife Debra (multiple Emmy Award-winner, Patricia Heaton), and three kids. But their big happy family gets a bit too big (and less happy) when Ray's meddling parents, Frank (Emmy Award-winner, Peter Boyle) and Marie (Emmy Award winner, Doris Roberts), frequently stop by, since they live directly across the street. Brother Robert (Emmy Award-winner, Brad Garrett), a divorced police officer, is constantly moving in and out of his parents' house, and loves to drop by and show his resentment towards Ray's successful career and happy family life. Dodging Marie's constant critique of Debra's cooking, Frank's witty one-liners and Robert's dead-pan despair, Ray and Debra just wish someone would ring their doorbell before entering once in a while.

Have been watching this family for years, in fact, got all seasons on DVD at home. The writers of this show did a marvellous job mirroring family and individual roles of our schizophrenic society in a humerous way - can identify with every single character :o) Over the years, I have come to appreciate this family as my own. Know many dialogs by heart and still can't stop laughing.

Deserves more reviews than it has, ignore the one star ratings they were written by idiots, just because Raymond's wife is not that funny doesn't mean you give a one star you remove a star :/ learn how to rate every problem minuses a star for a film or TV series but what series don't have problems give the other characters credit the characters that are funny is Frank, Robert, Raymond, Marie, face the fact there has to atleast be one character that is not funny all the time she has good parts like when she imitates Frank and Marie fighting about a egg and a pot

ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREAT SIT-COMS AND ALSO FAMILY FRIENDLY. SOME OF TODAYS SIT-COMS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS AND EVEN TEENS AT TIMES . I MAY BE OLD FASHIONED BUT I THINK PRIVACY HAS NOT ONLY TAKEN A BACK SEAT TO COMMON SENSE BUT HAS BEEN THROWN COMPLETELY OUT THE WINDOW . SOME THINGS JUST SHOULD NOT BE SHARED WITH ANYONE.
