2 Red Skies in the Morning
4/21/09
It's week 2 of the season, and boats are hunting down the elusive King crab. A vicious storm kicks up and a Mayday goes out. The Skippers are glued to their radios -- waiting to hear the fate of 11 brother fishermen in distress...
3 Stay Focused or Die

The fleet is still dialing into the crab, and already a typhoon has taken its toll. A boat has sunk - and bone-chilling accounts of the fate of its men relay around the fleet.
4 Put up or Shut up

5 Long Haul, Short Fuses
5/12/09
Crab pots still come up empty and the skippers are out of ideas. Low bait and long grinds take our crews to dark places -- the smallest infractions from a Greenhorn or fellow Deckhand cause tempers and even violence to flare.
6 Deadline
5/19/09
A new deadline is set: an upcoming drop in the price of king crab has the skippers rushing to finish their season. But crew battles and a fierce arctic storm block the way.
7 Down to the Wire
5/26/09
The King Crab Season is down to the wire and skippers are desperate to top off their quotas. It's looking bleak as crews pick through bone-yards of fished out grounds. Some boats dig deep for an end of season sprint - other boats just scrape by.
8 Payback Time
6/2/09
It's the start of the 2009 Opilio Crab Season. Anything the Bering Sea held back during King Season is now being paid out in spades. The skippers have their eyes on the oncoming ice pack -- but it's a lethal, 40-foot rogue wave that's on the hunt.
9 No Second Chances
6/9/09
The fleet arrives on the Opi Grounds and boats struggle with ice, big seas, and bad information to hunt down the crab. A skipper regrets sending his men out in savage weather to save the boat -- but there are no second chances on the Bering Sea.
10 Sea of Misery

It's week three of the Opilio Crab Season. Long hours and miserable conditions already have the crabbers turning on each other. Boat-crushing ice stands between one skipper and the safety of harbor.
11 Lockout
6/23/09
After weeks battling freezing spray, forty foot waves, and sub-zero temperatures, skippers have begun plugging their boats with Opilio crab. As they race to St. Paul harbor for offload, the 250,000 square mile arctic ice pack stands in their way.
12 A Slap in the Face or a Kick in the Butt

Halfway through the season, each skipper faces his own personal form of hell. Frozen crab, frozen gear, and a frozen harbor chill the hearts of the most callous of fishermen. On the Northwestern, Sig battles a fierce cigarette addiction-and a fierce storm

Loved this show from the beginning but as an offshore fisherman in the N. Atlantic as well as AK only one thing bothers me but i don't see how it could be remedied while still keeping the show interesting. It's how there's just no way to get across just how long we spend not just on our feet in the elements and the amount of work that really goes on onboard crab, offshore lobstering, gillneting(not Bristol Bay style drift netting but 7-10 miles of bottom gear or fishing longline gear, especially Halibut in the PNW or Tilefish out of Montauk, NY(bottom gear-steal cable not mono). After 20+ hrs w/essentially no real breaks you've maybe got 4hrs to cook, eat, clean, sleep, and stand a wheel watch. I imagine many who venture north for hopes of big paydays since these shows became popular have had some rude awakenings! Probably got real crewmembers hurt as well. It's usually the experienced guys getting hurt or killed due to a beginners error or carelessness. Stay safe boys and save those paychecks! Also, they don't mention months of FREE WORK on boats and gear that all fishermen accept but almost never mention when saying "how much I made in a ONE month season. Shame the grueling offshore lobstering spinoff just isn't suited to TV and though should've been my favorite as I've worked on most boats and fishermen shown. The monotony of hauling, cleaning, rebaiting and hopefully setting back 2000 traps over several days just didn't translate well to TV.

Great show. These men put their lives on the line a few times a year so the rest of us can enjoy our holidays. Miss Phil Harris... May he R.I.P. I'm sure Josh will follow in dads steps. The 1 thing that upset me was when Sig put his brothers "problem" on air. That conversation should have been held in private. I didn't know that Edgar had a problem of "that nature" and Sig should have kept it that way. I lost a bit of respect for Sig because of that. There are some things that should be kept in family. Also, I see he's letting his daughter just "jump" right in the Capts. chair. I've heard him say 100 times quote "You just don't come on THIS BOAT" and expect to run it. You have to work your way up,learn EVERYTHING first. I guess daddy's little girl just wants to be on TV....Not fair Sig...family or not...NOT FAIR!!!
