I collect and re-watch Scooby-Doo shows/movies all the time and despite loving the original show in all its corny/witty glory, I enjoy this version and think that people should give it a real chance. The animation style works with the setting which is centered entirely on humor (as opposed to the drama of Mystery Incorporated). Whether or not you'll enjoy that I can't say, but the people who made this created it with the original show as its foundation. They re-invent those monsters in different situations. (I love the visual walkthroughs they have for historical info and monster wrap-ups!) Then they make it their own by adding different personality layers to the gang and quirky humor. Don't worry, the fundamentals are the same...Shaggy and Scooby are always scared/hungry, Velma is the brains, Fred still has a plan and Daphne remains danger prone; they forever solve mysteries.

At first I had my doubts about this show, but was blown away by its creativity and originality by explaining the mystery with more humor than the original, and also without all of the love/drama from the previous series. My only problem was the animation style, but even now it seems to work well for the show by means of humor and comedic action, and has grown on me. It is basically a light hearted and simpler version of the original Scooby-Doo from 1969, just not as great as the classics.
