Half way through the first episode, I'm bored. It's too slow. This was a tragedy that should have a serious budget behind it, not a b graade director. For God's sake build up some urgency it's so slow. Seriously, you couldn't find any Russian accents, and choose British people to represent the Russian's.. Come on this is pure laziness Instead of a 5 hour tv show how about a 3 hour movie.

Brilliant but.. why the British accents? Seriously, who made that decision? 265 million people speak Russian. Millions of those are bilingual - not to mention millions more Polish, Romanian, Latvian and other Eastern Europeans - and surely some of those can act? Are you seriously telling me you could not find two dozen decent actors from that part of the world?

Great show. British accents ruin any sort of authenticity though. If your an animal lover steer clear, the episode where they shoot heaps of family dogs is terrible and upsetting.
