Most people my age are only family with the Lucille Ball with flour on her face and a "Waaahh", if at all. It's a shame because I loved this movie when I was a child. It introduced me to Lucille Ball. The movie and the content still holds up. It's funny and still relevant. Always a favorite.

I could watch this movie all day and every day. Every time my cable company has it available on demand I watch it several times a day. It's a great heartwarming film that tugs at your heartstrings. I've watched this film for decades and didn't learn til recently that it's based on a true story. That makes it even better than I already felt it was, if that's possible. The remake is a joke and an insult to the true story family it is supposed to be about.

Given this is based on real life it says true to that. The new one is a farce and not in the haha way.
