I really enjoyed this film from start to finish. Typically, my ADD has me running to get a snack (or two) during a film, but I stayed for the whole thing in one setting. Why? Well, the comedic aspect of Yes, God, Yes cannot be understated, and it points to a great moral hypocrisy that many in the Catholic Church (and other religions) perpetuate: that consensual, adult sexual relations are completely a part of life. That teenagers have sexual urges and can't be told to 'just pray the desire away.' There is more to life than any church - Catholic, Protestant or otherwise - can or will ever be able to explain, and this film shows that through an amazing lead performance that is both demurring and courageous. Highly recommend. LGBTQ+ friendly.
