Year One - Unrated

When this movie first came out, I tried to watch it but gave up on it. Years later I watched again. Perhaps I was in a different mind frame when I watched it the first time, But I hated it lol. Then years later I watched it again ... and again ... and again, now it is one of my favorite movies. I watch it to relax. I love the weird comedy of it all ... the good messages combined with the messed up storytelling makes me laugh even after I have watched it so many times. Two of the artists I love to watch. Thank you.

this movie gets criticized way too seriously as if it was supposed to be a beautiful motion picture with a deep impact on its audience. in reality I love it for what it is meant to be. a stupid comedy. I was dying the whole movie. it's a shame it is rated so poorly by people who I believe just dont get the brainless entertainment it provides. seems unfair in my opinion.

Somehow this is my favourite movie. I think it had something to do with expecting a solid 1 star jack black painfully watch. Never watch the theoretical/cut pg version. You won't want to watch it a second time if you do. Cuts out small parts of the film but significantly takes away the depth from characters personality.
