About this movie

Zia (Patrick Fugit), distraught over breaking up with his girlfriend, decides to end it all. Unfortunately, he discovers there is no real ending, only a run-down afterlife that is strikingly similar to his old one, just a bit worse. Discovering that his ex-girlfriend has also "offed" herself, he sets out on a road trip, with his Russian rocker friend, to find her. Their journey takes them through an absurd purgatory where they discover that being dead doesn't mean you have to stop living.

This is a pretty great movie. I watched it once on a whim and it quickly became one of my favorite movies. I was really upset when my house was robbed and most of my movie/game collection were stolen. But was happy a couple years later when I found it on Google Play. I'd recommend this if you need something to watch and want something that's a little different.

One of the best films Ive ever seen. Ive watched it about 4 times in my life. I try not to repeat watch, cuz the storyline and ending mean so much to me. I love how special and unique this movie is, I dont want to ruin it by over-watching. The love story is by far one of the sweetest ever. I LOVE Patrick Fugit so much, and Shannyn Sossamon too. Great chemistry! Makes you laugh and cry. Totally relatable. Everything about it is so perfect. Its a work of art. Must see!! ♡♡♡♡

This movie is so well done!!! Every last little detail ties into intself and ends up in an actually hopeful twist, which is not what i expeacted at all. If you're thinking about not renting this movie, if you're worried that it'll be insensitive, worry not. 10/10 buy this movie immediately
