For me DC remind us what a superhero amongst us is and the heart and soul of every day people, while marvel focus on a hero (escapism with quibs) , apart from Spiderman/Dr Strange I don't really care for many of the heroes of that comic universe. I remember Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and as a kid I wasn't attracted to her for her body form (I just wanted a girlfriend my age at the time pre-teen) but the essence of wonder woman I loved, where truth mattered, I still hold strongly to those thoughts that were shaped in my young life to this day. Gal Gadot captured that for me once again. The film I enjoyed tremendously I wanted to see more adventures, just a shame it always seems to be with DC let's put them together movie is next, rather than build up love for a wonderful character.

The movie first of all is not sexiest like one review i read on here. First of all those that used to watch Wonder Woman taken from the early series many years ago will know that Wonder Woman has always been wearing next to nothing but a short skimpy kind of skirty type thing with a golden ropey thing. As for the new film the story was awful incuding world war 2 into it somehow and that just doesn't work at all for me at all. The Actress looked magnificent and a credit to Woman kind but sadly they lacked a real good storyline.

As superhero/superheroine movies go; this was a refreshing glass of cool mineral water. Finally DC gives Batman some company on the shelf of decent superhero movies, and finally we had a decent female lead. Captain Marvel (which came out a while later than this), though a reasonable fair once you get into it, lacks the substance of Wonder Woman. The character and legend has had time to mature like a fine wine. The CG was a little heavy toward the end, but a great origin movie.
