The characters were very well portrayed by the actors, and really brought the book to life. I enjoyed the movie, but of course, not near as much as the book. The movie didn't quite show the hardships of upkeeping the farm, and how much the children had to help out. The scenes with Diamond seemed rushed, and didn't quite portray him as well as the book. Those are just a few things that found lacking, but otherwise, it was nice to see a great book come to life.

This movie is about a family and how they are teaching their young the importance of their land and what the land can do for them. I do not find this depressing or boring. Yes there are alot of ups and downs but the victories are great.

It was a great book and a wonderful clean movie. It should have been shown in all theaters but the clean movies never are. Very sad. Mary Coulthard
