About this movie

From Zach Braff, the creator of Garden State, comes this touching and funny story about being a parent, spouse and child -all at once. Aidan Bloom (Braff), a husband and father of two, is set on pursuing his dream as an actor when his father (Mandy Patinkin) reveals he's battling a serious illness. As the announcement disrupts Aidan's day-to-day existence, his decision to homeschool his children will lead him on an unexpected journey of discovery about fulfillment and family. Co-starring Academy Award nominee Kate Hudson, Josh Gad and Donald Faison, critics call Wish I Was Here, "Excellent! Wonderful!" (Scott Mantz, Access Hollywood) (Original Title - Wish I Was Here)

I really hope Zach Braff doesn't stop making movies. His characters are engaging without being cookie cutter version of every character you've ever seen. This is a great movie with a great cast. Joey King is endearing, Pierce Gagnon is credible as her character's younger brother. I appreciated this diversion from the mundane.

I really like this movie it is a bit boring at the beginning but not long after it starts getting good and going a bit faster with the pick up. Its overall a wonderful movie so touching heartwarming sad a little bit of everything it also has you remembering how important family is and forgiveness and love happiness pursuing a dream and family always being the first and foremost important thing in life. The ending is so sad so keep a box of tissue next to you. Overall I definitely give it a deservingly 5*s.

With a not very classic family this guy, his wife and his children show us a different set of colors of life from what we might think is a bad or sad or difficult life and how is that most of the times the answer to our problems is right there, like the inspiration, that when it shows up it has to find us working...
