About this movie

Gene Wilder ("Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein") stars in this magical, musical fantasy for the young, and the young at heart. The mysterious candy maker extraordinaire Willy Wonka hides a Golden Ticket inside five of his famous candy bars. The kids who find them are invited on a grand tour of the wondrous, wacky Wonka factory, and a chance for an even grander prize -- if they can resist temptation. The delightful musical score includes the hit song "The Candyman." From Roald Dahl's classic novel, produced by David Wolper ("Roots," "The Thorn Birds") and nominated for an Academy Award. You can't get more entertainment out of a movie than this masterpiece! If you haven't seen it yet, you truly are missing out. It's about a wonderful journey through a "chaotic" chocolate factory with twist & turns all the way through. The acting and story in this movie is spot on. This IS my childhood film.

I love this movie, i have no words to describe how amazing this is. It is so better that the remake with Johnny Depp , it makes him look like a sociopath and a pedofle, unlike this where Gene Wilder and the producers make him look human and it looks happy.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The first Willy Wonka is the better one,but Hollywood needs more money(as if 1 or 2 billion $) is not anough money. So there make a shocking second one.
