About this movie

A teenage girl's coming of age comes with a terrifying twist in this spellbinding take on the werewolf legend. Since birth, Anna (Bel Powley) has been raised in isolation by a man she knows only as Daddy (Chucky star Brad Dourif) who has done everything possible to conceal the truth about the girl's origins from her. But when the teenage Anna is suddenly thrust into the real world under the protection of no-nonsense police officer Ellen (Liv Tyler), it soon becomes clear that the young woman is far from ordinary. Unable to adjust to a normal life, Anna finds herself drawn instead to the wild freedom of the forest while struggling to resist the growing bloodlust that has awakened inside her. This moodily atmospheric thriller combines supernatural scares with a myth-like tale of self discovery.

A difficult film to give a fair review to. The young female protagonist gives a very strong performance I'm looking forward to seeing her in future films. The First Act get you hooked the second act gets interesting in the Miracle Mile the third act it loses its Steam has a rather weak payoff. It was a interesting unique take on the werewolf mythology I will give it that. And it was great seeing Brad Dourif. In my humble opinion I would not buy this it's worth a rental check it out for yourself.

Interesting take on the lycanthropy of a woman coming of age and to her natural way of life... surprisingly not as gruesome as I thought it would be but still I enjoyed it. Would recommend if you want a different idea of lycanthropy.

The movie is boring for about 35 minutes than things heat up as the girl realizes that she is not human but calls herself a Wildling.
