Poignant and bitter. The fight people feel daily to be recognized as important and vibrant,. The struggle people feel to provide and feel compassion about the work they are doing. At first I said women in the first sentence and men in the second but I changed them both to people because both sexes have felt all these feeling at one time or another and it goes both ways . The emotions are raw in this film and it touches a real nerve in you as you watch. That is a great accomplishment if a film can do that. I would have given 5 stars but it depressed me a little so maybe it should get 6 stars for that level of emotion evoked?!

Sad , but true, cause sometimes parents make terrible mistakes that the children pay the cost of those mistakes, but you can under why, cause you saw both parents and what happen.

An incredibly beautiful and human directorial debut from Paul Dano. This is a story of love, emotion, and pain told through a Montana backdrop that is simply gorgeous. Mulligan in this film is outstanding and everyone else is great. One of the very best films of 2018. Terrific. Almost flawless.
