The film highlights the three women in his life, each of whom claim to have married Frankie Lymon and lay claim to his estate. The film also traces the rise and fall of Frankie Lymon, started a solo singing career, but it all fell apart, and his career was over by the time he was 18 years old.

I am 12 years old, and my mom let me watch this movie. Larenz Tate is really cute, and when I seen this film, I thought he was the real Frankie Lymon. Really good acting, and I will never get tired of watching it. My favorite songs in the movie were "Why Do Fools Fall in Love", and "Goody Goody".
