About this movie

Benjamin is a nobody, an outsider, but this changes when he meets the charismatic Max. The two of them couldn't be more different, but they share one mutual interest: hacking. Together with Max's friends, they form the subversive hacker group CLAY (CLOWNS LAUGHING @ YOU). For the first time in his life Benjamin feels like he belongs and even the beautiful Marie starts to notice him. But what started out as fun soon turns deadly serious, when Benjamin and CLAY are suddenly investigated by German Secret Service and Europol. With the leading Europol cybercrime investigator at their heels, Benjamin starts to realize that he is no longer a nobody, but one of the most wanted hackers of the world.

Absolute rubbish! I found this movie so boring. I could not even sit and watch to the end. The film takes a subject such as hacking, and dissects it in to archaic and stereotyped portrayals of a loner who suddenly finds a place in the world through having come across someone who is more charismatic and cool. Then why bring hacking into it? The movie tells you nothing, denotes nothing different and provides only half baked notions and ideas of what it believes something is and who the people are that take part in it. Bad attempt at making the subject matter seem cool and dangerous while cluttering it with dead end characters, defeated the entire purpose. It was more like Breakfast Club and Sneakers than anything else. My mistake for buying into the good reviews on this one! Only really good thing is the music. Nothing else really stands out.

Loved it. Hackers meets Fight Club, but not a derivative of either film. Would definitely recommend this one.

It's worth renting . I'm now going to get it on DVD or Blu-ray.It has a touch of the Usual Suspects about it and has a very good ensemble performance.
