In so many ways, this is not a star trek documentary. Certainly not like any other. Ds9 finally get a proper look back but in an unconventional way. In many ways i found this killed a lot of the frustrations i had with the ending of this show, the creators show they have not skipped a beat and shows yo there is so much lif in this series yet. It's a shame it never got picked up for film with it's grand battles. But i did get some satisfaction from this, yet they teased me enough to not want it to end. Job done.

Worthwhile for serious fans though it is a bit uneven and choppy. The Writers Room is compelling, watching all that talent at work breaking an imaginary future episode. But overall it cuts too often between cast, crew, fans, and clips without regard for any pacing or continuity. Good material that could have been presented in a more consistent narrative.

I'll just say I kind of cringed with the piano/singing thing. Again maybe it's just an American sort of thing and I don't get it, being a crusty British as I might be.. it is an American TV series so I can forgive it in any case. The meat of the doc is quite good, especially the writers room segment so it's good. Looking forward to the Voyager doc - that was my first Trek love so that will be special. Hopefully coming 🙏 end of 2022
