About this movie

Housemates Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires who are trying to get by in modern society; from paying rent and doing housework to trying to get invited into nightclubs, they’re just like anyone else - except they’re immortal and must feast on human blood. When their 8000 year-old roommate Petyr, turns 20-something human hipster Nick, into a vampire, the guys must guide him through his newfound eternal life. In return, they are forced to learn a thing or two about modern society, fashion, technology, and the internet. But it’s the introduction of Nick’s human friend, Stu, that really changes the vampires’ lives and attitudes towards the world around them. When Stu’s life is threatened, the vampires discover that humans are worth fighting for, and that even though a heart may be cold and dead, it can still have feelings.

I loved the movie. Some people will never get this type of comedy. They are just wired differently. And there is nothing wrong with that. As for my taste I find the movie's tone to be like comfortable humor. It's not offensive, it's not in your face, it doesn't try too hard. It's just like the characters are people you know. If people you know included vampires. Anyway, they seem to keep the feeling of the movie very light hearted and just nice to watch.

I love this movie , I Usually don't go for such comedy but for some odd reason I found this movie to b hilarious ...I love the scene where they are leaving the bar and run into the Werewolves. And my favorite character is Nosferato...he's disgusting...he's brutal...he is the funniest and most interesting one in the movie even though he has the least amount of screen time .

I love a good mockumentary and in the style of the greats, What We Do in the Shadows delivers! It's a slow burn not unlike Spinal Tap. The writing and character developments are both wry and flagrantly absurd in the best way. A very good contribution to the broad genre of comedy/camp/cult films. Though it may not seem an academic word with which to describe the movie; it was sheer silly. I absolutely loved the characters!
