About this movie

For years a man and woman have struggled to survive in a barren and hostile post-apocalyptic wilderness. Each night, the man tells the story of their lost home, forever promising his companion that they’re getting closer to finding it. When the couple stumbles upon the ruins of a vanished society, they find the comforts of civilization –food, shelter –so long lost to them. The man confesses that he’s been using the notion of “home” as a lie to keep them moving forward, a profound betrayal. Deep within the buildings, each separately encounters a silent and immobile stranger with a sinister agenda that will threaten their relationship, their memories, and their future.

I tried to understand this movie but, bottom line, it makes absolutely no sense. My friend thought it might be an exercise in existential angst. So be it. I give the production company 2 stars for effort.

I feel bad giving this 2 stars- because I think im just not smart enough to understand this movie. I'm sure theres some deep meaning to the towers and the man, I just am not understanding. anything. at all. not even on little tid bit do I understand. it almost feels like you need a background in Russian literature maybe to understand this. but thats just a guess. because I don't know anything about Russian literature.

Very good movie. It's so new I wish there was more out there that explained some of what happened in the movie though. Definitely worth renting.
