About this movie

Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) has designed the ultimate resort: VICE, where anything goes and the customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look, think and feel like humans. When an artificial (Ambyr Childers) becomes self- aware and escapes, she finds herself caught in the crossfire between Julian's mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who is hell- bent on shutting down VICE, and stopping the violence once and for all.

What had the opportunity to be an amazing plot fell flat on its face as an underwhelming storyline that didn't fully utilize the incredible setting of the artificial resort. Bruce Willis is at best a prop, and I am very disappointed with what Tom Jane turned in. The Director and script missed the opportunity to have us absorb the dark realities of artificial humans in this setting (see Surrogates for a much better version of this movie). The movie was more of a sad, slow cross between THX 1138 and Matrix.

Couldn't sit through the entire thing. That's pretty rare for me and signifies this movie is worse than a waste of time. It's simplistic plot and bad acting couple with poor Bruce trying to draw in the fans. If you have any sense at all, you'll avoid this snoozer.

Bad acting all around even Bruce Willis seemed bored on camera he definitely did this one just for a paycheck. The story is unfocused just like the directing. If you want to see a movie similar to this one but much better check out the machine.
