A very underrated early sound film from director John Ford. Best known as being the film debuts of both Spencer Tracy and Humphrey Bogart it is nevertheless a fun prison film that isn't to be taken seriously. Also of note is character actor Warren Hymer who plays Spencer Tracy's long suffering partner in crime and partner in redemption. Unfortunately, the lone existing print of this film has several jump cuts that can be distracting but can be remedied by using the caption option. Your taste may vary but if you enjoy classic movies, give this one a try.
