Relationship propaganda, because societal & familial pressures aren't enough, hey let's have a movie that suggests getting married & pushing out a bunch of kids is the best way to go through life. Garbage. Points for superb acting, a few laughs & a touching moment with the letter. Points deducted for a cry so fake & annoying, it almost rivaled Diane Keaton's in Something's Gotta Give & also, the aforementioned propaganda. Not to mention that it was all about the straight white people. There was a brief nod to diversity when it came to ppl being fired but otherwise, nope. It was well written & directed too and doesn't have a Disneyfied ending which is refreshing, but the message it's putting out there is just SO wrong: Here's the TRUTH: No. You really don't have to marry and you ESPECIALLY don't have to be a parent. And stop using euphemisms like "steak" or "burger" for tortured to death animal, a sentient being who wanted to live thank you very much. Ugh. Our only habitable planet is overpopulated & collapsing bec of unsustainable animal agriculture. Having a child is not an achievement, nor will your descendants give a rip about you; your DNA means nothing. I personally LOVE my freedom (no expensive whiny brats & cleaning up others' bodily fluids for me, thanks) & I'm cool about so-called death - I'll be back in another vessel so I'm not fussed. The world doesn't need nonsense like this - you've been brainwashed enough don't you think? Grow a pair, grow up, learn to think for yourself and skip this. Or watch it if you want but with a healthy dose of scepticism. P.S. If you *really* care about children & not your own ego, #ADOPTdontBreed & also #GoVegan (see Cowspiracy & What The Health for why)

Perfect mix of humour and drama. Perfect performances for engrossing characters. I can happily re-watch this time and again.
