About this movie

This sequel to the worldwide hit continues the saga of the war between the aristocratic Death Dealers (vampires) and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. After dispatching the vampire elder Viktor (Bill Nighy), Selene and Michael are on the run from Marcus (Tony Curran), an ancient vampire elder with a massive wingspan, and Alexander Corvinus (Derek Jacobi), a wealthy immortal. The fast-paced tale of deadly action, ruthless intrigue and forbidden love takes them into the battle to end all battles as the immortals must finally face their retribution. © 2006 Lakeshore Entertainment Group LLC. I have the whole series, but in this particular one I have to say, the dumbest part of it is she's telling him stuff and he listens to none of it. And they shouldn't have killed off the brothers. There had to be more in context with them getting bit and just turning into things. Why their father never changed into anything or why if he was the most powerful, how could they be able to kill him or injure with no healing. If they paid more attention to the lore they created it'd been an improvement. Despite that they did give us vampires and werewolves at a time when virtually no movies contained them in any way. And they are fun to watch. And yes I'm ignoring the Twilight series.

It was an good movie on its own, but an alright sequel. If you had never seen the original and like vampire or werewolf movies then this is great. I just don't think anyone can rank it as high as the first one, which is my favorite vampire movie of all time.

Ok, if you by the idea that there are waring factions werewolves vs vampires. Throw in a healthy imagination it's a fun entertaining action movie. This movie knows what it is and delivers that itch for vampire vs werewolve action.
