Under the Silver Lake is unlike any new film you will see this year. It's strange and mysterious. Some might call it pretentious but maybe that's it's goal. You won't be able to solve all the layered mysteries and you will come to your own conclusions. I think I know who the dog killer is. I think I understand why Andrew Garfield smells throughout the movie and I think I understand what the owl lady represents. It's a long film but if you're in the mood for a neo-noir mystery, check it out.

A neat mindshuk in the vein of Naked Lunch. It feels long, but I laughed a lot at the awkwardness; and the mystery is pretty unique, if not inconsequential. Now I wish IMDB still has forums so I could have this movie's own codes spelled out for me without any effort on my part. Biscuits, eh?

It was so bad, it was almost good. The trailer teases you and tells you it will be an adventure. Instead it's a brutal mind f*** with no resolve. It was like the writer left the project 3/4 of the way through the movie.
