About this movie

In 1947, Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) was Hollywood's top screenwriter until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO (directed by Jay Roach) recounts how Dalton used words and wit to win two Academy Awards and expose the absurdity and injustice of the blacklist, which entangled everyone from gossip columnist Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) to John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Otto Preminger. The film also stars Diane Lane, John Goodman, Louis C.K., Elle Fanning, and Michael Stuhlbarg. (Original Title - Trumbo) - 2015 Bleecker Street Media LLC. All Rights Reserved.

Enjoyed most with good harmony of the cast and the story that led me reconsider what elements we need to live althogether with tolerance and refrain to use sensitive feelings against others.

Is it my imagination, but does Tom Hanks play the reporter about 17 - 18 minutes or so into the movie? IMDB lists lots of "uncredited" parts in the cast of Trumbo, but nada re Tom Hanks. If you want to check it out, it is very shortly after Dalton is first served a subpoena while having dinner outside. The section begins during an interview dated "September 1947." When the camera makes its first cut from the scene of all the reporters to only two of them, the guy in the brown suit and hat. GOTTA BE TOM
